Born in the German part of Switzerland in 1965, I lived in Lausanne for over 25 years.  After having been a grade school teacher and studying at the Conservatory, I worked until 2011 as a lyric singer at the Operahouse of the Swiss capital, Bern.
Completely self-taught, my initial foray into photography took place almost 20 years ago after some modelling experiences, and since that time I have worked continually to expand and perfect my technique.  Since the beginning I have concentrated exclusively on photographing nudes in black and white.

After years of working primarily in a studio with artificial light, I am now increasingly working outdoors at distinctive locations, whenever possible with narrative motifs.

On the next pages I will tell you more about my photo technique and my aesthetic guildelines:
• who my models are and how I find them
• what my photo equipment is and how I work in the dark room
• why I do show frontal nudity and how depictions of genitalia have evolved throughout history of art
